Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about anonymity, safety, pricing, devices, and more.

Is it really anonymous?+
Yes. We avoid public metrics (likes/follows). Messages and drawings are shared without usernames. We still uphold safety through moderation and gentle community guidelines.
Is this therapy or crisis support?+
No. DrawnForward is a creative, supportive space—not therapy. If you’re in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis hotline in your region.
What is Priority Kindness?+
An optional setting that routes your kindness to regions with lower reported well‑being using reputable, public data sources (e.g., global happiness reports).
How are matches made between people?+
When you choose to receive, you’ll see a short message from someone who reached out (anonymously). You can then respond with a drawing. We avoid endless feeds and focus on 1:1 care.
How do you handle harmful or inappropriate content?+
We use layered safeguards: automated filters, community reporting, and human review when needed. Content that violates our guidelines may be removed and accounts may be restricted.
What data do you store?+
Minimal personal info (e.g., email/name at signup) for moderation and account recovery. Drawings and messages are stored without public identifiers. See our Privacy page for details.
Can I delete my data or account?+
Yes. Email us at info@drawnforward.org from your registered address to request account deletion and data export or removal.
How much does it cost?+
You can try it with a free trial, then subscribe for ongoing access. Pricing may vary by region. We’ll always show the price before you confirm.
What platforms are supported?+
We’re building for iOS and Android, with ongoing improvements for tablets and stylus support.
Do you support stylus pressure and different brushes?+
Yes. The canvas supports pressure sensitivity (where available) and multiple tools like pencil, crayon, and highlighter—with gentle, non‑performative defaults.
Can organizations participate?+
We welcome partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and mental‑health advocates who align with our values. Reach out via our Contact page.
How do notifications work?+
You can opt in to receive gentle updates such as “Your drawing was received.” You can change notification settings anytime.
Accessibility+
We strive for readable typography, clear contrast, and calm interactions. Send feedback if something could be more accessible for you.
